Can the spouse apply for Power of Attorney in the Army?
Or does the soldier ave to apply for it? My husband has been really lazy and has waited to the last minute to get this done. I would like to do it myself, because my husband leaves for Korea next Wednesday. I've bugging him about this for weeks, yet he hasn't done it yet. And I don't even know where on post JAG is (we're stationed at Ft. Bragg). I'll be staying here for the next couple of weeks to wait for transportation to pick up our stuff, ship some off to my husband, and put the rest in storage. But I know I can't sign off on anything until we have a Power of Attorney. I already have a copy of his orders, but my husband is incredibly lazy, and every day I remind him to go to JAG and Transportation, but he puts it off. He JUST finished clearing out yesterday, but got his orders about 3 and a half weeks ago. Someone please help.
