Your son needs to pay the ticket! What kind of example are you setting for him by encouraging him to just let it go?!! The job that he had at the time in SC was not THE only job in America; he could've been hired by another employer. Leaving the scene of an accident is a fairly serious charge; he's pretty fortunate that he's not been picked up yet. That being stated, he NEEDS to take care of this; it is his civil and moral obligation. You will not be doing him any favors by continuing to think it's OK or encouraging him to simply forget about it.
