Mixing alcohol and antibiotics?

im going to a friends soon and i know there will be alcohol. i don't plan on drinking much at all, but i'm wondering if what i hear is true about antibiotics mixed with alcohol. i've been on a red liquid, 2 teaspoons a day called vibramycin for about a month, and will continue to be on this for a while. it was prescribed by my derm. because of my acne problems. is this dangerous to mix? thank you.
