I need information about raw diets for my pup, please?

I would like to switch my dog to a raw diet... he is 5 months old and vet would like to see him on an adult formulated food in the next couple of months because he is a large breed. BUT I would like to see him on a raw diet. How do you feel about the pre-made raw food formulations... like primal pet food? I know its not as good as going out and getting all the parts... meat, bone, and organs. But these food have all that... its just ground up. I know it does nothing for the dog's teeth, but isn't that simply fixed by offering them marrow bones a couple times a week and doing teeth brushing? Would doing this be comparable to feeding a homemade raw diet? I just don't see myself being diligent enough to feed a homemade raw diet. Thx for your comments!
