Confussed and needs help!?

Me and my bfs relationship is goin great, or at least i thought it was untill Friday night came around. i was depressed cause he is never around he is always working and i talked to him about it and he got mad sayin that he only does this so we can be together more and that its important to him that he gets to see me.i got upset because it seems like he is always at work, he calls me every 20 mins to see how im doing and how everything is goin so i guess its not to bad, but the only thing im confussed about is why do i act like im a helpless little puppy that always needs attention? i mena our 1st year together he was never around cause we lived 82 miles apart and oncei moved closer about 8 months ago he was around almost everyday unless he had to go do something for his family, even then i would come with him, and now hes never around, he works at Raintree which is a security place and works for his father so i know hes not cheating its all men!!
