Digital piano for teaching?

I have a traditional acoustic piano and I still think there's nothing can beat them....however, my Mum has had a Yamaha Clavinova since they first came out, has lasted years with no problems. I know other teachers who swear by them too. Used to cost an arm and a leg, but not too pricey anymore.
