I have a traditional acoustic piano and I still think there's nothing can beat them....however, my Mum has had a Yamaha Clavinova since they first came out, has lasted years with no problems. I know other teachers who swear by them too. Used to cost an arm and a leg, but not too pricey anymore.

Confussed and needs help!?

Don't rush it, if your 18 and she is 16 you won't be ready to have a house to move in to, you would probably end up living in your one of your parents house. Wait at least until she is about 19 even 20 because if you have children at 16 even 17 she will break under the pressure because having a child is hard. I can tell you from experience my mom had my older brother when she was 20 and even then she would hit my brother (not as bad as it sounds). If you wait until you have a successfully job and a stable life her dad and uncle will accept the marriage easier and support you two. But never break off the relationship with her parents because one day you will need family more than anyone else because being alone is worse than waiting one or two years. Before you propose make sure you have your parents and her dads approval so that they can support your marriage and try and help you with your baby and anything else. If she gets married now she will grow up too fast and will not be able to handle it, going from high school to getting married is too big of a transition. Ask her if she has plans like going to college or moving somewhere because if you truly love her you will make sure that she does everything she wants to do before you guys get married because after that you can do everything you want, you have to work and work and you will miss your girlfriend boyfriend relationship.

Is it normal to be depressed when I'm apart from my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for several months, and we're very much in love. We met in Boone, where we both go to college (and where neither of us currently live). Now that we're out for summer, we both went home--100 miles away. Unfortunately, with gas prices and my work schedule, I can't go see him but once a month, if we're lucky, and now he's going away to work at a summer camp, so we won't be able to see each other at all until mid-August (today's the 2nd of June, in case it doesn't get recorded). Is it normal for me to be depressed because I don't get to see him for that long, even though we just saw each other yesterday (for probably the last time until August)? My 4 year old daschund has been having severe itching all over her body.?

There are small eruptions all over her body along with some areas of loss of fur at some places. There are also marks or calluses at the joints of her legs which also seem to itch a lot. She gets temporary relief from antihistamines but the present treatment she is getting from the vets including therapy for fungal infection and filariasis do not seem to be helping much. I'm 25 years old and living with my boyfriend of 30. Marriage issues. I don't know where to start or what to do about it.?

I'm not in a loveless marriage, or an abusive one...or anything like that. We've been married 5 years, and together off and on for 13. We have 3 kids. I guess all the trouble started when he joined the Army 4 years ago. I am Buddhist- very peaceful, pive, and anti-war. I let it go because it's what he wanted to do, but I didn't fully realize how much it would change my life. Now, 2 deployments later he is not the man I married. He is reclusive, doesn't communicate, doesn't show affection, and really doesn't want to spend much time as a family or a couple. Our interests are complete opposites, and getting more and more different almost daily. I love him and I respect him and all that he does, but I don't want to live like this forever. I try to talk to him, but no matter how calm and cool I am about it, he gets offended. All of this aside... we almost never have anymore. Also, due to multiple injuries he's sustained while in the military, and the pills he is on as a result of a diagnosis of a rare disease, he has gained over 40 pounds in the last couple of years. Probably more due to the lack of any kind of relationship than his actual looks, I am not at all attracted to him anymore. We still sleep in the same bed, but we use separate blankets. I usually cry myself to sleep and spend most of my days in tears. It's getting harder and harder for us to agree on moral lessons and values to p to our kids, which is the hardest part. There really isn't a middle ground for the sake of the kids. I believe what I do, he believes what he does. It used to be very similar, now he has changed completely, like I said earlier. Smaller issues pile up to make bigger issues. He's so wrapped up in his work that when he comes home he does nothing, including picking up after himself. His side of the bedroom, his computer area, the basement....all look like something out of an episode of Hoarders. I can't keep up with it all without just throwing it all away, which of course I can't- most of it is military gear. Ahhh! So, I could go on and on, like I have been...but I'd just like to get some feedback. Where do I start? I LOVE him and he's a wonderful person, it's just getting REALLY hard. I have an infected finger. Amputation?

Well i skateboard. And when i was skateboarding downhill, and surprisingly i fell, road burned my arm, and scraping some skin off my pinky. It has been about 4 days. Today i put hydrogen peroxide on it, and it started foaming, which means it is infected. I have a 10x10mm yellow kind of scab. It is on my knuckle of my pinky. What do i do? I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Do i need amputation? My infection is yellow colored.

Any solution to keep a frequently loosening spark plug tightly in place?

My Mazda MX-6 with over 200K miles is experiencing one tiny problem. The plug for cylinder 1 keeps getting loose after a few days of installing or tightening. I usually have to tighten that one particular plug every weekend after which the car runs fine for a few days before a slight miss, something like a hiccup, comes back to haunt me. When the car is started up and the hood is open, whiffs of smoke can be seen escaping the area around the plug. Any solutions to rid this problem once and for all without affecting its actual performance or causing issues when its time to change the plugs at a later date? Please advise. Thanks.

I need information about raw diets for my pup, please?

I would like to switch my dog to a raw diet... he is 5 months old and vet would like to see him on an adult formulated food in the next couple of months because he is a large breed. BUT I would like to see him on a raw diet. How do you feel about the pre-made raw food formulations... like primal pet food? I know its not as good as going out and getting all the parts... meat, bone, and organs. But these food have all that... its just ground up. I know it does nothing for the dog's teeth, but isn't that simply fixed by offering them marrow bones a couple times a week and doing teeth brushing? Would doing this be comparable to feeding a homemade raw diet? I just don't see myself being diligent enough to feed a homemade raw diet. Thx for your comments!

I worked a 8 hour shift last night which doesin't bother me at all, and the shift ended at 11 pm last night and I had to be back at work at 7 am well my phone was on silent from the night before and i forgot to turn it on to wake me up in the morning so i woke up 2 hrs late for work! and I never do something like that so I rushed got to work as quickly as i could by then i was 2 1/2 hrs late, I know theres a probation period where they could decide they don't need you or dont think you are right for the job, I really like my job and really would like to keep it. a girl who started with me had already called off 3 times in the first 2 weeks we started cause of illness reasons but didn't bring a doctors note so shes getting fired i just am scared they dont think im punctual and iam! do u think im gonna get fired? The problem would be when you go into labor. When I went into labor, the hospital sent me home twice before they would admit me. That would have been incredibly inconvienent if I lived far away. And then, after the second time they sent me home, I ended up back at the hospital an hour later because my water finally broke. My son was born four hours later. If I lived far away, I might not have made it in time for the epidural. So you can risk it, having a great doctor makes all the difference when having a baby. But you could have problems when you go into labor. Congrats!! Good Luck!!

What's wrong with my Columbian Sharks' skin?

So here's the deal. My boyfriend bought two columbian sharks. One is about 7 inches long and the onther one was about 2 1/2 inches in length. About three days ago the big one got a cloudy film over its eyes and little tinky white spots. It looks like ick. The smaller one got the spots to and then started swimming funny and died. There are two cichilds in the tank also and they have no symtoms of anything. We are treating for ick but I'm not sure that's the problem since not all the fish are sick. Uhm... Lucid Dreaming?? Help?

Try meditation before and after going to sleep getting yourself focused before sleep has always helped me to be more aware when going into "unconscious" dream states. Hello! I adopted a puppy 3 weeks ago from a local animal shelter. She was a stray before, and she received her first set of vaccinations at the shelter. She is estimated to be 4 months old, and she is suspected to be a lab/pitbull mix. She had conjunctivitis when I adopted her, and she came down with a cough about a week later. She had a really bad cough and runny (green discharge) nose, lethargy, difficulty breathing, and she didn't seem to want to eat for a little over a week, but she showed huge improvement. The doctor said that she might have distemper, but she seemed to be largely getting better. Then, she began to have chewing gum fits. I have read extensively about canine distemper, and I know that the prognosis for neurological distemper is poor. Currently, my puppy is eating normally, playing, and just being a puppy aside from 2-5 30 second "gum chewing fits" per day over the last 3 days. I'm just looking for a little more information on what to expect as the disease progresses and whether or not I should hope for recovery. Thanks for any help or insight you can give. I went for an interview at a recruitment agency today after seeing an online advertisement for a position that I desperately wanted. The job was advertised at (hypothetically) $85k + super. I was sent to the employer this afternoon for an interview and found that my skill set and experience matched the job and the team was friendly and endearing. They (or the recruitment agency) will be notify the successful applicant within the next 36 hours. I have a sinking feeling that I might have been duped into believing the advertised salary did not include leave loading. This would mean my salary would be $70K which is considerably less than what I bargained for. How would you negotiate your way out of this without upsetting the agency and the potential employer? should I wait till I am offered the position by the agency, get them to confirm the base salary and then tell them that I thought the salary was $85K? and that I would be happy to settle for $80K if they could reduce placement fees?

Attending BookExpo 2011? Good for Aspiring Author?

My writing partner and I are trying to decide if we should attend BookExpo 2011 and we need to decide it quickly since it's happening next week and we live in LA. We just found out about this event through our publishing research, hence the rush. We have completed our first novel, have started on the second in the series of three and are actively pursuing publication, in addition to considering the idea of self-publishing, if all else fails. The genre is Sci-Fi/Fantasy. This is not a new venture for us; it's a project that's been it the works many years. A few years back we did the whole submission-slush pile-rejection thing and it's very disheartening. Now with digital media and online publishing more of an option, we're giving it another go, and came across BookExpo. I would love to hear from anyone who could give me honest advice about whether this would be a good forum for us. We are attending ComiCon later this year, but we've done that before and the opportunities are limited. I'm thinking BookExpo is better for publishing, but not sure that it's so much for the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. Any informed help would be appreciated, particularly since this won't be cheap, with last minute airfare, staying in NY and the cost of admission.

I'm not sure if I do. I tend to ociate numbers to certain colors. For example the number 3 is pink, the number 5 is an earthy color, the number 10 is just black, the number 69 is always blue to me. And when I think of months in my head it's like a giant cycle. Toward the begining of the year I see cool colors, then around spring it's light colors then I picture a curve as May changes into June. August is never really memorable, just like a brief time in the year. Then by November theres another curve into December which are usually darker colors. I was in the doctors office today for a very minor 10 minute surgery to have a keloid scar cut away from my ear. It literally only took about 10 minutes and I did not feel a thing. I get queezy sometimes, so I took Dramamine before the appointment hoping it would help me not to get nauseus. When the procedure was over I layed still for a few minutes then went out into the reception area to finish up with paper work. Why have I seen such negative views of adoption in here?

I am a birthmom and I think adoption is wonderful IF done for the RIGHT reasons. But you hear so many people come through Answers and ridicule young women who are thinking about placing their unborn child ("You make it, you keep it." and "If you don't want the responsibility, get an abortion"). While I know there are agencies and lawyers who are unethical and co-erce expectant moms, fail to properly inform the expectant father, and lie to prospective adoptive parents, what of those who do everything right? What about those of us who KNEW we were in no way capable of caring for a child, no matter how much we loved them? What about those couples who could not have babies of their own and are overjoyed when the expectant mother picks them? No money is exchanged. Just lots of tears and hugs and happiness. My little girl is three months old. I just recently got a pic. I have never seen such a happy and healthy little girl. They love her as much as I love her.

Well, anyway, a relative of ours is not interested in owing a piece of land somewhere in Bicol simply because he's getting old and none of his two sons would want to manage it since they're living in the US right now and they don't plan to come back here in the Philippines. He's really encouraging my mom to buy his land which has a total land area of 4 hectares. The land is being utilized for rice production. I really don't have an idea whether he's earning from it or not. All I know is he wants to dispose it as soon as possible. Um, I have a problem with this since my mom and I are too busy with our business here in QC but my mom said she will go there in Bicol next year after she finally scores a huge deal with a garments factory somewhere in Cavite. Well, first of all, I'm glad to see that your self aware to the extent of questioning whether or not these behaviors are or could be detrimental to your health. But to get straight to the point, your current reliance on these substances to stay 'in the moment' looks very much like self medication from my point of view. Drugs can be a good occasional stress reliever, and may sometimes be even insightful or theutic, but the drugs you are using (marijuana, ADD medication, nicotine) do not serve those purposes and the frequency of use (every day) shows a beginning reliance on the said substances. I've been there before, and I didn't realize things were going downhill until I hit rock bottom. You also say you would never do 'hard' drugs... I think it's important to mention the fact that the main ingredient in most ADD medications is amphetamine/amphetamine ogues/amphetamine salts, all of which are moderately addictive, and can potentially produce a harsh comedown or depression upon stoppage of use. But I digress. From my own observations, most of the people who fall into addictions or self-medicate have underlying problems in their life relating to familial issues and/or instances of emotional and physical abuse, both of which you mentioned you've experienced. So I think that yes, you are beginning to self-medicate. The course of action you take is yours alone and sometimes it is hard to stop even if you're not blatantly psychologically dependent on the drugs. The bottom line is, that which once could have helped will only serve to complicate the issues you're dealing with already under these conditions. Puerto Rico is Awesome! Most people are super friendly. The service in some places is not that good though. It's like summer all year round. I dont know what you mean with casual but people here dress a little less casual than Americans( ex. they dont wear pajamas to the grocery store). You will probably get paid less than you do in the US doing the same job. Real Estate is really expensive also. Other than that PR is a great place to live in. Pls Help ! Overfed my baby today .. how do I help him get over the discomfort ?

I fed my recently turned 6 month old 3.5 oz milk and 1 entire can of Gerber Stage1 Carrots today evening around 5:30pm. I initially started giving him just half a can, but he seemed to want more so I fed him the entire can. After that he felt uneasy and was wriggling when we held him. He fell asleep an hour later and woke up 2 hrs later. I tried to feed him but he wouldn't drink. He would come hungry to the and pull away after about a minute and cry. Hes been doing this for the past 1 hour. I put him on the floor to let him play and burn out the extra food. He was ok playing and didnt cry. He was also fine while getting his bath. He also looks sleepy. He has been rubbing his eyes. Its now almost 4 hrs since he last fed. I feel I shd let him have milk for atleast 5 mins before making him sleep. He only cries when attempting to feed. He isnt teething.. I gave him Mylicon and burped him. What shd I do to make my baby relax ?
