How can I record my voice over instrumental music?

I want to create my own relaxation tape so it has my favourite instrumental music with my own voice/recorded affirmations. I want to be able to do this via the computer so I can then burn the whole track onto a cd that I can listen to through my walkman. Does anyone have any idea how I can do this easily and cheaply? and preferably without downloading any programs.
