Why do clerks in rich stores act like this?

i live in orange county,in i guess you could call it a high cl area..so im used to being around rich people but hate the snobbyness...so any ways i went to rodeo drive in beverly hills and went into some of the stores and there were middle cl people in there buying cloths and stuff and when they went up to purchase the cloths the clerks and cashiers gave them this snobby attitude like their nobodys and they were all saying like uhhhh is that it...me and my wife just looked at each other like wtf the employees are treating all these people like crap the cashier acting like a rich snobby chick its like why is she acting like that she makes between 13-15 a hour where does she get off acting like a ******
