Why doesn't he want me as a girlfriend?

I lost my virginity to this guy who I was with unofficially for several months, he is 25 I'm 21. Even when we met, we couldn't keep our hands off each other. Everyone says we make the cuttest couple, he is gorgeous and always tells me how beautiful I am. My family could really help him too because he wants to be a doctor and my dad is a famous doctor. We have so much in common like our weird sense of humor and he reminds me of myself in many aspects. The was always amazing and we've done it a lot. In fact, I ended up "breaking up" with him because it seemed like thats all he wanted, he never even wanted to go out on dates, he just wanted to party on the weekends and have with me on the weekdays. We met recently after a while of not speaking but it seemed that he only wanted me as a friend, not even a close friend at that (I haven't heard from him in two weeks) He said he is looking for a great girl but he still goes to bars and clubs and doesnt see whats right in front of him. Why doesn't he want to be with me? We would be so great together
